3rd Joint German/UK Bioenergetics Conference co-organized by the Biochemical Society and Max Planck Institute of Biophysics.
The “3rd D/UK Bioenergetics Conference on Bioenergetics (DUKBEC) 2013” is a focused meeting co-organized by the Biochemical Society (UK) and the Max-Planck-Institute of Biophysics (Frankfurt/Germany). It is going to be held in the castle of Rauischholzhausen, south of Marburg, Germany on 10-13 April 2013. As a third meeting of this kind the idea is to stimulate British/German collaborative research in bioenergetics. The meeting focuses on basic research about mitochondria, bacteria and chloroplasts and is divided into six different sessions. The sessions are dedicated to respiratory chain complexes, ATP synthase, mitochondrial morphology, membrane protein complexes in chloroplasts and on methods such as mass spectrometry and electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy. All invited speakers will contribute a review article to the Journal Biochemical Society Transactions, which is going to provide and sustain international visibility of the meetings’ content.
