RNA control mechanisms in development and stress

22 November 2011

Charles Darwin House, London, UK

Workshop background

This workshop is focused on examining the control elements found within mRNAs that have emerged as a fundamental mechanism by which gene expression is controlled to allow coordinated regulation at the post-transcriptional level.

Topics:

  • microRNA biology
  • mRNA-binding proteins
  • translational control
  • mRNA turnover
  • mRNA localisation

Abstract deadline: 20 September 2011.

Abstract submission is now closed. If you wish to submit an abstract, please contact the conference office.

Application deadline: 20 September 2011.

'Eureka Moments: making proteins, making a difference'. As part of our centenary celebrations, a number of the Society’s Honorary Members have been asked to talk about the important moments in their careers and the future of the discipline.

The third to be released is that of Greg Winter who spoke to Michael Neuberger and Brian Hartley about the important moments in his career and the future of the discipline. Watch the interview now!

Approved by the Society of Biology for the purpose of CPD, this event may be counted as 21 CPD credits.
