The Intermolecular Associations in 2D and 3D meeting is being held at the University of Nottingham which dates back to 1798 and was granted Royal Charter in 1948.

Situated two miles from the University is Nottingham City Centre which offers extensive shopping, restaurants and attractions including Nottingham Castle, The Caves of Nottingham, Galleries of Justice, Sherwood Forest and The Tales of Robin Hood.

Travelling to Nottingham

By air
East Midlands Airport is located 30 minutes drive from Nottingham, 2 miles from junction 24 on the M1.
The Air-line Shuttle provides a direct link from Long Eaton and Loughborough railway stations which have connections to Nottingham.

Birmingham International Airport
is located 50 minutes drive from Nottingham. The airport also has a railway station (Birmingham International Station) from which connections can be made to Nottingham (via Coventry or Derby).

London airports:
Heathrow
- Attendees are advised to take the Heathrow Express into London Paddington and the London Underground to King's Cross St Pancras and train from St Pancras to Nottingham.
Gatwick- Attendees are advised to take the Gatwick Express into Victoria and London Underground to King's Cross St Pancras and train from St Pancras to Nottingham.
London Stansted- Attendees are advised to take the Stansted Express to Tottenham Hale and London Underground to King's Cross St Pancras and train from St Pancras to Nottingham.
London Luton Airport Attendees are advised to take the train to King's Cross and train from St Pancras to Nottingham.
London City- Attendees are advised to take the green shuttle bus to Canning Town Station, Jubilee Line (London Underground) to London Bridge and then Northern Line to Kings Cross St Pancras where trains depart to Nottingham.

By car
Nottingham is situated on the major north/south routes, the M1 and A1.

By coach
There are regular coach services from most cities to Nottingham.

By rail
A regular train service runs from London St Pancras taking about one hour and a half.
The railway station is situated a short taxi ride away from the University Park Campus, University of Nottingham.

At the meeting the Biochemical Society registration desk will be situated in the foyer of the Economics and Geography building and open at the following times:

Bed and breakfast single en suite and standard accommodation is available in Cripps Hall, University of Nottingham for the nights of 18, 19 and 20 June.

Submission of poster abstracts has now closed, if you wish to bring a poster to the meeting please contact Christine.Cook@biochemistry.org.


Poster size
Posterboard size 1.8m wide x 1.2m high landscape. Velcro to mount your poster will be provided at the meeting.

Poster prize
The European Biophysical Journal have generously sponsored a poster prize of 50 for the best poster presented at this meeting. All posters presented during the poster session will be entered into the competition and the winner will be announced at the Meeting Dinner on Thursday 19 June.

In particular, the spelling of names and affiliations should be checked, as this information will be used to create badges.

Confirmation letters also act as a receipt, and should also contain venue maps and delegate information. Please bring the letter with you to the conference.

Cancellations will be accepted in writing until Thursday 5 June 2003, and up until this date full refunds will be given. However, after this date, neither full nor partial refunds can be given.
