Poster Abstract Submission
Poster abstract submission has now closed. If you are interested in presenting a poster at this meeting please contact sally.peam@biochemistry.org.
Poster boards will be 1.5m wide x 1m high (A0 landscape) and velcro will be provided.
Has my abstract been accepted? After submitting your abstract you should receive a submission number which will identify your abstract. If you do not receive a submission number then please e-mail meetings@biochemistry.org immediately. Approximately 2 weeks after the abstract submission deadline has passed, you will recieve an e-mail informing you whether your poster has been accepted.

Venue and Getting There
The meeting will be held at Organon Laboratories Ltd., Newhouse, Lanarkshire, ML1 5SH, Scotland, UK.
By Air Glasgow Airport is the airport closest to the meeting venue, and is approximately 26 miles (30 minutes by car) from Organon Laboratories Ltd. There is an excellent shuttle bus service from the aiport to Glasgow city centre, buses depart every 10 minutes throughout the day and the journey takes 25 minutes, for further information visit Citylink.
By Road
From Glasgow City Centre Delegates are advised to take the M8 Motorway to Edinburgh and to exit the A8/M8 by taking the B802 (B799) slip-road sign-posted for Holytown/Chapelhall/Calderbank. At the end of the slip-road take the right turn sign-posted for Holytown/Chapelhall. Follow the road to the T-junction at the top of the fly-over and turn left on to the B799 sign-posted Chapelhall. Organon is situated approximately 100 metres on the right.
Note: Organon is not on the Newhouse Industrial Estate, it is situated opposite the estate, on the other side of the A8.
From The South (M74) Exit the M74 at Junction 5 sign-posted Bellshill/Coatbridge, follow signs for Coatbridge until you come to a sign for Edinburgh A8 and then head on to the A8 towards Edinburgh. Then follow the directions from Glasgow, as above.
By Rail Glasgow Central Station has excellent rail links to cities all over England and Scotland. Airdrie Station is the closest to Organon and can be reached by taking the Blue Line Service from Glasgow Queen Street Station. From here a taxi can be easily obtained and then it is a 10 minute journey to Organon. For further information please telephone National Rail Enquiry on +44 (0) 8457 48 49 50 or visit their website.
By Bus From Glasgow, buses are not recommended as there is no direct formal route to Organon Laboratories.

Accommodation
Accommodation in Glasgow has been reserved for delegates attending BioScience2004 and this satellite meeting. Rooms are available in a number of types of accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets.

Confirmation
All registered delegates will be sent a confirmation e-mail to confirm registration details. This e-mail should be checked carefully to ensure that all requirements are correct. In particular, the spelling of names and affiliations should be checked, as this information will be used to create badges. Confirmation e-mails also act as a receipt, and also contain venue maps and delegate information. Please bring the letter with you to the conference.

Refunds
Cancellations will be accepted in writing until Monday 5 July 2004 (subject to a 15 cancellation fee). However, after this date, neither full nor partial refunds can be given.

Official Letter of Invitation
Official letters of invitation, which are intended to assist with administrative arrangements in certain countries will only be issued when the individual has completed the following criteria:
1) Submitted an abstract which has been approved by the meeting scientific organizer for inclusion into the relevant meeting
2) Sent a letter from the head of their academic department on University headed paper saying why they need to attend the meeting in relation to their research
3) Registered and paid for the meeting.
Such letters do not imply commitment of financial or other support by the organizers.
