Alternatively, the number 8 and number 9 (renumbered 508 and 509 at certain times of the day) bus services run to the precinct.

Parkway station is about six miles form the main precinct and you are advised to take a taxi (approximately 13).

For information about train time please visit The Trainline or call +44 (0) 8457 48 49 50

Marlborough Street Bus Station is situated in the centre of Bristol close to the University precinct.

To get to the university from the bus station you can
-catch the Hospital and University Shuttle Bus (see above)
-take a taxi (there is a taxi rank just outside the station)
-walk (about 10 minutes). Leave the bus station via the Whitson Street exit. Turn right up Lower Maudlin Street, passing Bristol Royal Infirmary and the Childrens Hospital on your right hand side. Turn Right into Upper Maudlin Street and the Education Centre is a short distance on your left.

For information about coach times please visit National Express or call +44 (0) 8705 80 80 80

By Bus

The number 8 and number 9 bus services travel from the train station and city centre via Clifton or Redland to the University precinct. The number 8 stops by the Berkeley Centre on Queens Road opposite the Wills Memorial Building before heading towards the Students Union, while the number 9 continues from the Berkeley Centre up towards Senate House.
The Rail Link (service 180) passes through the Triangle on the edge of the main University precinct travelling from the train station and the city centre.

By Car

The city has excellent road links, making access from all over the UK straightforward. The M4 and M5 motorways both put London and Birmingham within a two hour drive, while the M32 allows direct access from the M4 to the heart of the city.
Directions from M32
-Exit the M4 and junction 19 marked for the M32. Follow the M32 into Bristol.
-The motorway terminates a few hundred metres from a major T junction. Carry straight on from the end of the motorway and turn right at the junction (following signs to the Bus Station and Clifton).
-You come to a roundabout where you should take the second exit (following signs to Bus Station, Royal Infirmary and Clifton)
-The Education Centre is on Upper Maudlin Street on the left.

For information about route planning please visit the AA or the RAC.

Car Parking

There is very limited car parking available at the university. Alternative parking can be difficult to find, please consult Bristol City Councils car park finder.
