Travelling to the venue
By Air
Delegates are advised to travel to the Tenerife North Airport if possible (airport code TFN) due to its proximity to both University of La Laguna and Santa Cruz.
If there are no convenient flights to the north airport, delegates are advised there is a bus connection from the Tenerife South Airport to both:
Tenerife North Airport (bus route 340) the bus station (bus route 341 - the Hotel Atlntida is just in front of this station)
Alternatively delegates travelling from outside of Europe can stop in Continental Spain and connect with the North Airport.

There are flights from most city airports in the UK to Tenerfire South Airport.
From the North Airport, it is a short taxi ride to the recommended accommodation and the meeting venue. From the South Airport delegates are advised to take bus 340 to the North Airport, and a taxi from there to the venue. Alternatively delegates wishing to check into the Hotel Atlntida should take bus 341 to the bus station, which is a short walk from the hotel.

Registration fees and forms

Confirmation email
All registered delegates will receive a confirmation email to confirm registration details. This email should be checked carefully to ensure that all requirements are correct. In particular, the spelling of names and affiliations should be checked, as this information will be used to create badges.
Confirmation emails also act as a receipt. Please bring a copy of the email with you to the meeting.

Registering at the meeting
Registration will take place outside of the Sala Puerto room on 5 March from 8-9:00 am. Delegates should go to the Auditorio de Tenerife, and follow the signs to the InProteolys registration desk location.
Badges will be issued upon registering and, for security reasons, must be worn for the duration of the meeting

Student travel grants
The maximum student travel grant available for the Intracellumar proteolysis meeting is 150:
The following principles apply to application for a Student Travel Grant:
1. Students can apply for a Travel Grant if they are a member of the Biochemical Society by the poster abstract submission deadline and have submitted a poster abstract.
2. Students can only apply for one Student Travel Grant in a year.
3. Students are not eligible for a Student Travel Grant if they have already received funding from the General Travel Fund in that same year.
4. All student members of the Biochemical Society are entitled to apply for these Travel Grants and this entitlement will extend to PhD graduates for up two years after graduation and to foreign student members in respect of travel in the UK and Irish Republic.
How to apply: A registration form for the Meeting should be completed and submitted to Portland Customer Services. Registration is online. A copy of this form should also be sent to the Meetings Office along with the Student Travel Grant Application Form.
Grant applications received four weeks prior to the meeting will be available for collection at the meeting (cheque only); however, you may apply for a grant at the Registration Desk, or up to four weeks after the meeting.
Subject to approval, applicants will receive a cheque for the appropriate amount. The maximum amount for travel expenses that will be reimbursed will be at the level of the current Young Persons Railcard fare. If the application does not use up the full amount of the Grant, the balance cannot be transferred to another meeting.

Poster abstract submission and the Portland Press Poster Prize
Abstract submission is now closed. If you have not submitted an abstract but would still like to bring a poster to the meeting, please email kay.miller@biochemistry.org to enquire whether this will be possible.
Has my abstract been accepted? If you do not receive a submission number, please email meetings@biochemistry.org immediately.
Approximately 2 weeks after the abstract submission deadline has passed, you will receive an email informing you whether your poster has been accepted or not and informing you of your poster number and session time.
All poster abstracts will be available to view online two weeks prior to the meeting.
Poster session times: 18:00-19:30 each day of the meeting. Poster board size: 1 m wide x 1.2 m high (portrait).
Velcro to mount your poster will be provided at the meeting.
Portland Press Poster Prize Portland Press Ltd are pleased to sponsor a Young Investigator Award to be presented for the best poster displayed at the meeting.
The winner will receive a host of Portland Press goodies and a cheque for 250.

Delegates should arrange their own accommodation as far in advance of the meeting as possible.

Getting to the Hotel Atlntida
From Rodeos airport (North Airport) 12 km, around 10 minutes by taxi.
Bus line 102 (every 30 minutes), 107 (every 2 hours) and 108 (every 2 hours) to Santa Cruz.
From Reina Sofa airport (South Airport) 60 km, around 35 minutes by car.
Bus line 341 to Santa Cruz (every hour).
Hotel Nivaria is within a 15min driving distance in a very local charming place. Please note that taxi's from Hotel Nivaria to the venue should cost no more than 5 Euro.

Refreshments
At the meeting Lunch and refreshments will be provided for all attendees.
Delegates are advised to make their own arrangements for dinner on the evenings of 5 and 6 March. There will be a Gala Dinner on 7 March, to which delegates should register to attend. Please note that the Organizers of the meeting hope to gain sponsorship to cover the costs of the Gala Dinner, but there may be a small charge at the event.

Official letters of invitation, which are intended to assist with administrative arrangements in certain countries will only be issued when the individual has completed the following criteria:
1) Submitted an abstract which has been approved by the meeting scientific organizer for inclusion into the relevant meeting
2) Sent a letter from the head of their academic department on University headed paper saying why they need to attend the meeting in relation to their research
3) Registered and paid for the meeting Such letters do not imply commitment of financial or other support by the organizers
