Submit your proposal

Event proposals are welcomed for scheduling throughout the year to complement the Society's vibrant events programme.

Next proposal deadlines are:

  • 1 May
  • 13 August
  • 5 November

Proposals submitted will be considered by Research Areas and/or Theme Panels (as appropriate) and then by Conferences Committee, or Education Committee for Training Events and Courses. Please note this process can take up to 8 weeks.

From submission to date of event please allow 9 months for a Training event or course and 12 months for a Scientific Meeting or Harden Conference.

This is what our programme coordinators have to say:

“I wanted to thank you again for the great organization – everything went so smoothly! I have received so much positive feedback that should have been directed to you too. It was a pleasure to work with you, and I hope we work together again in the future.”

(Harden Conference 'Helicases and Nucleic Acid-Based Machines', July 2017).

“Many thanks again for all your hard work, all the feedback I’ve had has been extremely positive from speakers, session chairs and participants. It was a really great experience and I’ll definitely think about applying to the Biochemical Society again in future for other meetings.”

(Scientific meeting 'ROS and Mitochondria in Nervous System Function and Disease', March 2017).
