The Society offers support to a wide range of national and international events; these include residential research conferences, workshops, independently organized conferences, single lectures and small events.
Full secretariat services are provided for Biochemical Society Focused Meetings, Harden Conferences, Workshops, Training Days and Hot Topic Events. Terms and conditions for Programme Coordinators can be found here. Events will be budgeted to break-even.
Proposals are welcomed from any member of the scientific community, however please note that at least one person of the Programme Committee should be a member of the Biochemical Society.
This is what our programme coordinators have to say:
“Thanks very much for all of your effort leading up to and during the conference. We couldn’t have done it without you! I really liked the Focused Meeting format and could envision future meetings on other topics. I will be sure to keep you and the Biochemical Society in mind when dreaming up the next conference”
(Focused Meeting 'Structural Aspects of Infectious Disease', August 2016).
“Thanks for all your hard work making the meeting a success. Everyone I spoke to at the meeting (a) thought it was really well organised and (b) was extremely envious of the level of support the Biochemical Society offers! I think they all wish they had such a good team supporting them for the conferences that they have to arrange.”
(Focused meeting 'Protein S-Palmityolation', September 2016).
