Independent Meetings refer to scientific events organized entirely by an outside organization, ranging from one day symposia to international conferences.

  • If accepted by the Conferences Committee, they are offered financial support of £500 funding and marketing support

Organizers are advised to refer to the Criteria for Biochemical Society Independent Meeting Funding. Please note Independent Meeting funding will not be granted for well funded conferences such as Gordon Conferences.

Please note it is a requirement that proposals are submitted to the relevant Research Area(s) prior to online submission. Proposals not sent to Research Area(s) will not be progressed.
