Travelling to the venue
The nearest airports to Chester are Manchester International and Liverpool John Lennon airports, which are both 40 minutes by road from Chester.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is the fastest growing regional airport for scheduled traffic, serving over 60 European destinations with all the major operators. LJLA is fully integrated into the Northwests public transport system and located just 10 minutes from the major motorway network.
Manchester International Airport serves many destinations in the US, Europe and Asia. Trains run from ManchesterAirport to Manchester Piccadilly railway station (approximate journey time is 20 minutes and costs approximately 6 return). Trains to Chester operate regularly from Manchester Piccadilly.
Virgin Trains run frequent, high speed direct services between London Euston and Chester in approximately two hours.
There are also many services to Crewe, from both London and the North West, for onward connections to Chester.
High speed rail services are available to Crewe, Chester and Warrington from London Euston and London Paddington (2.5 hours), and from Glasgow on the West Coast main line. Rail services also run from Manchester International Airport.

Confirmation emails also act as a receipt. Please bring a copy of the email with you to the meeting.

Registering at the meeting
Please bring your confirmation email to present at the registration desk at the meeting. Badges will be issued upon registering and, for security reasons, must be worn for the duration of the meeting.
Registration fee does NOT include accommodation, you must book this yourself after your application has been accepted.

Official letters of invitation
Official letters of invitation, which are intended to assist with administrative arrangements in certain countries will only be issued when the individual has completed the following criteria:
1) Submitted an abstract which has been approved by the meeting scientific organizer for inclusion into the relevant meeting
2) Sent a letter from the head of their academic department on University headed paper saying why they need to attend the meeting in relation to their research
3) Registered and paid for the meeting
Such letters do not imply commitment of financial or other support by the organizers

Proceedings and abstracts of Harden Conferences and Hot Topic Events are unpublished, in order to promote the exchange of novel information and ideas. Delegates are asked to respect the closed nature of the conferences, and not to report information discussed via Twitter, Facebook, blogs and similar social networks.
Focused Meetings, Workshops and Annual Symposia
The Biochemical Society encourages the discussion of its conferences via Twitter, Facebook and similar social networks. In order to promote discussion and the exchange of information, delegates who wish to tweet are asked to use the Biochemical Society hashtag:
Speakers will be made aware of this policy, and have the right to ask delegates not to disseminate their research via the Internet. If a Speaker makes this request, delegates are asked not to discuss the relevant work in this way. Delegates are respectfully asked to refrain from communicating using mobile devices whilst lectures are in progress.
XXX has been approved for the purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) by the Society of Biology.
Participants can claim xx credits for attending. These points are valid if attendees are registered on the Society of Biology CPD scheme. Approval signifies that the Society of Biology recognizes the XXX event is of merit to the development needs of participants.
