Maynooth lies just 33km south-west of Dublin Airport, around 40 minutes travel time by car.
Over 50 airlines operate from 170 destinations to Dublin Airport, with up to 600 flights per day.

Maynooth is situated 25km from Dublin city centre. Take junction 7 (signposted Maynooth/Straffan/Naas) off the M4 and follow the signs to Maynooth.
Turn left in the centre of the town and the gates to the South Campus are directly ahead of you. To reach the North Campus, take the left in the centre of the town, then turn right, take the next left and the entrance is on your right.

Maynooth can be reached by road in less than two hours from Belfast and Galway.
Maynooth is served by two Dublin Bus routes – the 66 and the 67. Both of these buses depart from Merrion Square in Dublin and run frequent services to the town. The 66x is an express service.
Both bus routes are the same until they reach Lucan; from here the 66 travels to Maynooth via Leixlip, and the 67 via Celbridge. See the Dublin Bus website for full details
Bus Éireann operates daily services from: Athlone, Ballina, Galway, Longford, Mullingar, Sligo, Tuam and Westport.

Maynooth lies on the Western Suburban railway line which serves the four Dublin city centre stations (Pearse Station, Tara St, Connolly Station and Docklands) as well as twelve other suburban stations; Drumcondra, Broombridge, Ashtown, Navan Rd. Parkway, Castleknock, Coolmine, Clonsilla, Hansfield, Dunboyne, M3 Parkway, Leixlip Confey and Leixlip Louisa Bridge, making it a quick and convenient way to get to Maynooth University.
This railway line also serves: Sligo, Collooney, Ballymote, Boyle, Carrick-on-Shannon, Dromod, Longford, Edgeworthstown, Mullingar, Enfield, Kilcock.
The South Campus is approximately five minutes walk from Maynooth train station and the North Campus approximately ten minutes walk.

Registering at the meeting
Please bring your confirmation email to present at the registration desk at the meeting (Iontas Building - North Campus). Badges will be issued upon registering and, for security reasons, must be worn for the duration of the meeting.
Poster abstract submission
Abstract Submission Guidelines
The maximum number of words allowed in your abstract body is 230. Please note that author details will be added on the final page of the submission process (do not add your author list or affiliation details to either of the fields on this page). The preferred method for submission is to type your abstract straight into the online submission form, or alternatively paste the text from a word-processed document. The ‘Full title’ should be presented sentence case (not in Title Case or BLOCK CAPITALS), that is only the first letter of the title or appropriate terms such as abbreviations or proper nouns should be upper case. Please do not include tables, figures or references in the abstract as these will be removed before your abstract is published.
Has my abstract been accepted?
After submitting your abstract you should receive a submission number which will identify your abstract. If you have not received a submission number, then please contact the Conference Office.
Approximately 2 weeks after the abstract submission deadline has passed, you will receive an email informing you whether your poster has been accepted or not and informing you of your poster number and session time.
All poster abstracts will be available to view online two weeks prior to the meeting.
Poster Board size: 85cm wide x 170cm high (portrait).
Velcro to mount your poster will be provided at the meeting.
Biochemical Society Poster Prize
A Biochemical Society Poster Prize of £XXX will be awarded to the best poster presented at this meeting by a researcher in the early stages of their career (PhD students of post-doctoral scientists within 5 years of receiving their PhD).

1) Submitted an abstract which has been approved by the meeting scientific organizer for inclusion into the relevant meeting
2) Sent a letter from the head of their academic department on University headed paper saying why they need to attend the meeting in relation to their research
3) Registered and paid for the meeting
Such letters do not imply commitment of financial or other support by the organizers

Proceedings and abstracts of Harden Conferences are unpublished, in order to promote the exchange of novel information and ideas. Delegates are asked to respect the closed nature of the conferences, and not to report information discussed via Twitter, Facebook, blogs and similar social networks.
Focused Meetings, Hot Topic Events and Workshops
The Biochemical Society encourages the discussion of its conferences via Twitter, Facebook and similar social networks. In order to promote discussion and the exchange of information, delegates who wish to tweet are asked to use the Biochemical Society hashtag:
Speakers will be made aware of this policy, and have the right to ask delegates not to disseminate their research via the Internet. If a Speaker makes this request, delegates are asked not to discuss the relevant work in this way. Delegates are respectfully asked to refrain from communicating using mobile devices whilst lectures are in progress.
Inflammatory Diseases Conference has been approved for the purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) by the Society of Biology.
Participants can claim 48 credits for attending. These points are valid if attendees are registered on the Society of Biology CPD scheme. Approval signifies that the Society of Biology recognizes the event is of merit to the development needs of participants.
Attendees can request a CPD certificate for this conference whilst completing the post event feedback questionnaire, which will be sent by email to all attendees shortly after the event.
