Location

 

The Orto Botanico di Padova is a botanical garden in Padua, in the northeastern part of Italy. Founded in 1545 by the Venetian Republic, it is the world’s oldest academic botanical garden that is still in its original location. The garden, affiliated with the University of Padua, currently covers roughly 22,000 square meters and is known for its special collections and historical design.

Travelling to Padua

 

§  VENICE MARCO POLO is the nearest airport to Padua. From the airport, you can travel to Padua (49 km) by: 


SITA coach, with 24 trips a day from 7:40 am to 10:40 pm (every 30-60 minutes). The coach takes about 1 hour and the ticket costs €8.50.  Train from Venezia-Mestre station. The airport is linked to the train station (10 km away) by an ATVO shuttle bus or ACTV city bus No. 5 

Air Service shared taxi service (from €34 per passenger up to a maximum of €118 for 8 passengers), or Landomas (from €31 per passenger up to a maximum of €90 for 5 passengers). Book at least 24 hours in advance.

 

§  VERONA VALERIO CATULLO You can travel to Padua (86 km) by train. The airport is linked to the train station (11 km away) by Aerobus until 11 pm.

 

§  TREVISO ANTONIO CANOVA This airport serves low-cost airlines. You can travel to Padua (62 km) by La Marca coach, with 34 trips a day, from 5:25 am to 8:15 pm (every 20-25 minutes). The coach takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes, and the ticket costs €4.30. 

§  BOLOGNA GUGLIELMO MARCONI You can travel to Padua (120 km) by train. The airport is linked to the train station (9 km away) by Aerobus.

 

From the bus and railway station to the Venue


Tram Sir1 (running every 6 minutes – get off at the “Santo” stop) or Bus 3, 5, 12, 16 (every 5 minutes, get off at the “Riviera Businello” stop). The trip takes about 13 minutes and the ticket costs €1.30.

Abstract submission


Abstract Submission Guidelines
The maximum number of words allowed in your abstract body is 230. 

Please type your abstract straight into the online submission form, or alternatively paste the text from a word-processed document. 

The ‘Full title’ should be presented sentence case (not in Title Case or BLOCK CAPITALS), that is only the first letter of the title or appropriate terms such as abbreviations or proper nouns should be upper case. 

 

Has my abstract been accepted?
Approximately 2 weeks after the abstract submission deadline has passed, you will receive an email informing you whether your abstract has been accepted/rejected as an oral communication or poster.

All abstracts will be available to view online at the meeting.


Bringing a Poster


Poster Number

Your poster number will be communicated via direct email. Any queries please contact conferences@biochemistry.org.

 

Poster Sessions

Posters will be displayed for the duration of the meeting. Please refer to the scientific programme for exact timings.


Poster size

A poster board of 90cm x 180cm will be provided. Please ensure your poster is portrait orientation.

 

Velcro will be provided on the poster board to attach your poster.

Attend this conference and claim 72 CPD credits. Certificates of CPD and attendance will be sent to all attendees after the conference.

This event has been approved for the purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) by the Royal Society of Biology.

Cancellation

Cancellations will be accepted in writing up to 30 days before the conference start date and a refund (less €15 administration charge) will be issued.

After this date, neither full nor partial refunds can be given. Please note that refunds of less than €15 cannot be issued.
