Full Membership is open to anyone with an interest in molecular bioscience and the wider life sciences.  The Society welcomes participants from all over the world, from all fields of life sciences and from all professions associated with life sciences.
 
Note: if you graduated less than 10 years ago, you qualify for Early Career Membership.

Early Career Membership is open to anyone with an interest in molecular bioscience and the wider life sciences for 10 years from the date of gaining any undergraduate or postgraduate qualification.
 
Associate Membership                                                        
Associate membership is open to people with a background in molecular bioscience now working in related professions such as, management, administration, editing, writing, sales, outreach and other similar positions. Scientists taking a break from their career or seeking employment are also eligible to apply for membership in this category.

Postgraduate Student Membership is open to anyone who has gained their first degree and is studying for a postgraduate qualification (PhD or MSc) in the molecular biosciences.

Undergraduate Student Membership is open to anyone studying for a first degree in a subject related to the molecular biosciences AND school students studying for GCSEs or A-levels with an interest in continuing onto a molecular bioscience degree course.

The Biochemical Society actively supports the Society of Biology's Schools and Colleges Affilliation Scheme, enabling members working in a school or college to keep up to date with all the latest developments in the molecular biosciences.
 
Current long-standing (more than 10 years) Full Members of the Society may apply for Emeritus Membership upon retirement from their profession.
