How much is available?

Up to £500 will normally be awarded. More may be available for exceptionally well-argued and well-supported cases describing high-quality research from outstanding scientists or those with recognized potential on the threshold of their careers.

Closing Dates

1 January, 1 March, 1 May, 1 June, 1 September and 1 November every year. Your meeting/visit must be at least 1 month after the deadline date.

Eligibility

• You must have been a member of the Biochemical Society for at least a year and not been awarded a Student Travel Grant within the last year.
• You will not be eligible if you have been awarded a Travel Grant from the Society during the last 2 years.
• Postgraduate students must be in the third or fourth years of their PhD.
• The meeting must have a substantial biochemical content and evidence of active participation in the meeting must be provided through an abstract.
