MicroRNAs and their targets: promises and pitfalls

2 November 2010

Charles Darwin House, London, UK

Workshop background

MicroRNAs are fundamental in cell and organismal development. They have been implicated in a number of complex human diseases, and the processes involving them provide opportunities for intervention by novel drugs. This workshop will bring together biologists and chemists to facilitate discussion about techniques that analyse small RNAs and assist development of therapeutic approaches.

Topics

  • Regulation of gene expression by microRNAs
  • The roles of microRNAs in human development and disease
  • Methods for quantitative analysis of microRNAs
  • Computational and bioinformatics analysis of microRNAs
  • Strategies for delivering microRNA mimics and anti-microRNAs into cells

Abstract submission deadline: 31 August 2010
Abstract submission is now closed. This workshop is oversubscribed and no further abstracts will be accepted.

Early registration deadline: 21 September 2010

SOLD OUT - Registration has now reached maximum capacity. If you wish to be added to the waiting list, please contact the Conference Office.
