A breath of fresh air: helminth protection from chronic and acute lung diseases

5—6 July 2017

University of Winchester, UK

A Biochemical Society Focused Meeting

This two-day meeting focuses on risk factors and mechanisms underlying important infectious and non-infectious lung diseases and addresses how helminths can influence susceptibility to these diseases.

Bringing together both helminth immunologists and researchers in lung immunity to meet, present and discuss their current clinical and pre-clinical research together, the meeting provides an excellent networking opportunity, promoting collaboration between research groups.

We also wish to provide a forum for early stage researchers to present and discuss their work, making the meeting invaluable for scientists and researchers at every stage of their career.

Topics covered in this meeting may be invited to submit to our journal, Biochemical Society Transactions, or other publication published by Portland Press, the wholly-owned trading subsidiary of the Biochemical Society.
