Drug repurposing II

10-11 May 2022
Woburn House, London, UK

Abstract deadline: 10 March 2022.

Earlybird registration deadline: 10 March 2022.

Late breaking abstract deadline: 17 March 2022.

Drug repurposing aims to find novel therapeutic uses for existing drugs that have been approved or investigated. The approach has gained significant interest in the scientific community as well as the general public due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which highlighted not only immense opportunities but also challenges in repurposing efforts.

Our second Biochemical Society Drug repurposing scientific meeting will provide an interdisciplinary discussion and networking platform that welcomes attendees from the academic, industrial, clinical and regulatory field.

Besides oral and poster presentations highlighting both computational and experimental approaches, the programme also includes focused and interactive workshops to encourage the scientific exchange related to key topics such as regulatory aspects and practical challenges along the drug repurposing pipeline.

Oral communication slots are available at this meeting. All attendees, particularly researchers in the early stages of their career, are invited to submit a poster abstract for consideration as an oral communication. You can submit your abstract here.

*Please note that all poster presenters will need to attend in person. Remote delegates will not be able to present an online poster but they may be eligible to present an online oral communication if they are selected for this method.

Invited speakers include:

  • Ana Casas Guijarro, Maastricht University (The Netherlands)
  • David Cavalla, Exvastat (UK)
  • Tony Hall, Healx (UK)
