Transcription in Health and Disease
20-22 November 2019
St. Paul's Centre, Hammersmith, London

Earlybird Deadline: 20 September 2019
Abstract Submission Deadline: 4 October 2019

This meeting is designed to gather scientists working in transcription across all domains of life including eukaryotes, archaea and bacteria. The meeting will encompass all aspects of transcription control including basic mechanisms, epigenetics, chromatin organisation and long-range gene control. Our aim is to provide a platform to bring together transcription researchers working in a diverse range of settings that include development, signalling, disease states (including cancer) and viral infections to share new and exciting developments and knowledge and to develop links and contacts.

We are seeking abstracts for oral communications and poster presentations from researchers at all levels in the following broad areas:

  • Mechanisms of transcription
  • Chromatin organisation and long-range gene control
  • Epigenetic control of transcription
  • Viruses and transcription

Speakers at this event will also include two of our 2019 Awards winners:

Professor Dame Caroline Dean OBR FRS, John Innes Centre, UK (Novartis Award)
Epigenetic switching and antisense transcription in plants

Professor Ervin Fodor, Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, University of Oxford (AstraZeneca Award)
Influenza transcription, when virus meets host

Oral communication slots are available at this meeting. All attendees, particularly researchers in the early stages of their career, are invited to submit a poster abstract for consideration as an oral communication.

There are a variety of bursaries available for this meeting. Click here to find out more.
