JOINT WEBINAR: Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds: how intergenerational activities can impact health and wellbeing in older adults

This is a joint Biochemical Society & BSRA Webinar outside of the Biochemistry Focus Webinar Series.

Time: 17:15 – 18:15 (BST)

Intergenerational activities have been shown for many years to be beneficial to both older adults and children. Whilst previously confined only to academic circles, the BAFTA nominated Channel 4 TV show Old Peoples Home for 4 Year Olds showed the benefits of intergenerational activities, and has gone on to be reproduced internationally. During this webinar, two experts from the show, Dr James Brown and Professor Zoe Wyrko, will talk about the background to intergenerational activities, what the evidence base is and what impact the 10 week intervention had on older adults in series 2.

Invited speakers:

  • Dr James Brown
  • Professor Zoe Wyrko

This webinar is jointly organised by the Biochemical Society and the BSRA as part of the Metabolism of Ageing meeting.
