At Zentraxa, we are developing new technologies that allow the production of new biologically inspired materials. We have an exciting opportunity for a Fermentation Scientist to join our scale up and development team.
As our Fermentation Scientist, you will work join our team of biological scientists to support the development of our bio-manufacturing processes for the production of new peptide materials. You will have the opportunity to join the project at an early stage and impact our development of new manufacturing processes bringing great value to our team. The role is laboratory based and you will be expected to follow and refine technical Standard Operating Procedures on the upstream fermentation.
For this role, you will have had some hand-on experience with bacterial cultivation and expression of proteins in a bacterial host. Ideally you will be familiar with the operation of a bench top bioreactor. General laboratory skills including aseptic technique, buffer and media preparation are essential for this role. Your experience in supporting smooth lab operations will help our team to operate at maximum efficiency. You’ll have a keen eye for detail, excellent time management and have great organisational skills.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with at least a BSc in Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related subject and at least one year post graduate experience, preferably including industrial experience.
