Undergraduate Recognition Awards
Biochemical Society Undergraduate Recognition Awards are offered for institutions to award, at their discretion, to an outstanding undergraduate in any year of study.
Applications must be made through a Local Ambassador and the student must be studying a course related to biochemistry or molecular bioscience.
Please note Student Ambassadors are not eligible to apply for an Undergraduate Recognition Award.
Eligibility
- Student must be studying a course related to biochemistry or molecular bioscience (can be in any year of study therein)
- Student must have shown outstanding achievement, e.g., excellent exam results, extra-curricular activities, projects, mentoring
Prizes
The winning undergraduate will receive a certificate and the choice between:
- Free Biochemical Society membership for a year AND £50 discount towards a Biochemical Society training course / event
- £50 cash prize
Winners may also be invited to continue their engagement with the Society and participate in the Society’s work, where appropriate and where there are opportunities.
