...Dr Eric Reid was well known in the bioanalytical community for his years of research devoted to this field. After his retirement in 1982, Dr Reid started Guildford Academic Associates, a charity devoted to continuing the Bioanalytical Conferences and publication of Methodological Surveys. Guildford Academic Associates endowed the ‘Guildford Bench Methodology Fund’ within the Biochemical Society, that was renamed the ‘Eric Reid Fund for Methodology’ after Reid sadly passed away in April 2010.
