Deubiquitylases and Ubl-proteases: from fundamental principles to therapeutic opportunities 2027
Scientific meeting
12 Jul 2027 - 14 Jul 2027
UK
Date: 12-14 July 2027
Location: University of Edinburgh, UK
The only conference dedicated wholly to Deubiquitinases (DUBs) and Ubl-proteases returns for its fourth iteration, bringing together a concentration of research that is rarely found at broader scientific meetings.
Four sessions will span DUB mechanisms and structures, cell biology, disease-associated enzymes, and therapeutic targeting. Fundamentals explore bacterial DUB repertoires, non-protein deubiquitylation, and proteases acting on Ubls like SUMO, UFM1, or ISG15. Therapeutically, first-in-class inhibitors are now reaching the clinic, while DUB-recruitment via ENTACs/DUBTACs opens routes to targeted protein stabilisation.
With invited speakers spanning academia and industry, plus many short talks selected from submitted abstracts, the meeting offers students and postdocs a genuine platform to present their newest data alongside established researchers. Generous networking breaks and poster sessions are built into the programme, consistently rated as highlights by delegates.
We look forward to welcoming you to Edinburgh in July 2027 and to (re)connecting old and new members of our DUBs and Ubl-protease community!
