Biochemistry Focus webinar series
60 mins
In this immunology focused webinar, Professor Roger Geiger presented an overview of his lab’s research on immune responses to tumours using systems biology approaches.
In the first segment of his talk, Roger presented a study on the capacity of naïve T cells to rapidly respond to antigens, followed on by an investigation of the potentiation of anti-tumour T cell responses via L-arginine. Finally, Roger discussed discussed a project in which they analysed the proteomes of immune cells isolated from tumours of HCC patients, discovering that chronically stimulated T cells in tumors upregulate the protein AFAP1L2.
