Presenting the 2025 Early Career Research Award Lecture, Dr Shey Robert Adamu examined the transformative role of immunoinformatics in developing next-generation diagnostics and vaccines for onchocerciasis control.

Onchocerciasis currently affects about 21 million people worldwide and remains a significant public health challenge in sub-Saharan Africa. Current diagnostic and therapeutic approaches face critical challenges that limit current elimination efforts.
