Biochemistry Focus webinar series

60 mins

In this webinar, Dr Freek van Eeden focused on practical aspects of CRISPR modification in Zebrafish, with viewers coming away with practical knowledge of the steps required to make a successful CRISPR modified Zebrafish line.

Zebrafish is a widely used model organism spanning the fields of developmental biology, epigenetics, transcription and more. The advent of CRISPR technology for making precise modifications to the genome has surpassed siRNA and talon technologies in many applications. Much work and outreach has focused on genome editing in mammalian systems. Vertebrate model systems such as Zebrafish and Xenopus are used by multiple vibrant research communities who have also adopted CRISPR technology for their own purposes.

Invited speaker:

  • Dr Fredericus van Eeden, University of Sheffield, UK

This webinar was chaired by Dr Catherine Jopling, Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham, UK.
