Our community’s needs and experiences are at the heart of every decision we make and it’s with this in mind that we’ve chosen to implement a new accessibility widget to make accessing our websites even easier for our users. 

Userway’s Widget makes our websites fully adaptable, accommodating for common disabilities from visual impairments to dyslexia, and more. While the front end allows users to personalise their own experience, behind the scenes it continually monitors our website for any accessibility concerns, addressing them and raising them to our in-house teams, allowing us to minimise issues. 

Upon learning of the project, Dr Emma Hargreaves, Educational Technology Representative and EDI Advisory Panel member, said: 

“Our commitment to EDI puts the needs of our community at the heart of everything we do, and I am delighted to see the implementation of this new widget to support access to our resources for everyone in our community. The Society will continue to look at opportunities in this area and we look forward to delivering more improvements in the future.”
