Sponsorship for events

Single lectures and small events

Sponsored Event Grants provide sponsorship of up to £500 to assist with the independent organisation of small events.

Our Sponsored Event grants are available to support both face-to-face and virtual meetings such as an institutional seminar series, single lectures, or small events e.g., one-day symposiums or postgraduate research days. We’ve previously funded travel bursaries for students and ECRs to attend, travel and accommodation for keynote speakers, consumables and worksheets, and more!

We particularly welcome applications for events that are cross-institutional and regional, and student-focused. All funding sought should be used to support the science and cannot be used to cover catering or venue costs.

Please note that this fund does not support events for school students, which are covered under EDI and Outreach Grants.
