Deubiquitylases: from mechanism to physiology
This conference was the second international meeting on Deubiquitylases (DUBs) and is unique in its focus on this class of enzymes. It brought together researchers in this exciting field of research to discuss molecular mechanisms, cellular functions and physiological roles of DUBs. The recent development of highly specific inhibitors has led to a lot of interest in exploring these enzymes as therapeutic drug targets in a variety of disease settings ranging from infection and inflammation to cancer and neurodegeneration. Emerging new concepts in DUB regulation and translation was a particular focus of this meeting.
