Hannah manages sponsorship for the busy programme of Society events and activities, collaborating with a variety of organisations to help them promote their products and services and network with attendees.

Lucy Ollett

Lucy manages the Biochemical Society’s Awards and Grants portfolios with the aim of recognising excellence and achievement across the molecular biosciences, and offering financial support through funding research, attendance at scientific conferences, and the sponsorship of events. Lucy also organizes and runs the Biochemistry Focus webinar series which covers different research areas in the molecular biosciences, as well as practical sessions to support career development.

Lauren manages our Events Organisers and Events Assistant. Together, we help deliver the Society’s scientific, training, and many other events. Lauren works closely with all members of staff at the Society and Portland Press and also get to work alongside many members and volunteers, either as part of our committee structure, or as programme coordinators for our events.

Katie is responsible for organising and managing a range of events for the Biochemical Society, including scientific meetings, Harden Conferences, training events and more. The events can be face-to-face, online or hybrid. Katie also manages three of the Society's six Research Areas.

Rachel Inkster

Rachel is responsible for organising and managing a range of events for the Biochemical Society, including scientific meetings, Harden Conferences, training events and more. The events can be face-to-face, online or hybrid. Rachel also manages three of the Society's six Research Areas.

Emily Naish
Emily Naish

Emily supports with all aspects of event management including being the first point of contact for both delegates and general enquiries, as well as assisting with pre-event preparation and onsite delivery. Emily acts as the liaison between the Events and Marketing department, with the aim to promote our events, which bring researchers together to share knowledge.
